Herding Cats

Herding Cats
Someone in our office remarked today that trying to get us lot to make a decision about where to have our Christmas meal is like herding cats. I agree, its a hard job, as this video proves...

Return of Demografica

Return of Demografica
My old Atari demo coding crew is being reborn in order to create a retrospective demo for a French demoscene party. We can't attend in person, but we'll send a little production along. Time to blow the cobwebs off my old Atari skills again...

Only in America

Only In America....
...or to be precise, only in Texas.

Some guy has rigged up a .22 rifle to a camera, a pan and tilt base, and the internet to produce - on-line hunting!

It only covers target practice at now, but soon you'll be able to take potshots at real live deer from the comfort of your computer.

There's a demo video at http://www.live-shot.com/

Personally, I'd like to see if I can put a round through the middle of that Dell.....

Pet hates of the week

Pet hates of the week

  • People at work that don't put their mobile phones on silent vibrate

  • People on trains that don't put their mobile phones on silent vibrate

  • People that walk along the street reading a newspaper instead of looking where they are going

  • People that walk along the street with those pull-along suitcases on wheels that get in the damned way when you're late for work

  • People trying to sign you up for charitable donations in the street (also known as chuggers)

Probably more to follow in this series....

Site updates

Site updates
Updated the code that allows you, the reader, to post comments on each blog entry. Mainly inspired by the twat that spammed my comments (I have the IP you used and the admin of that server has been notified), I also did a bit of design change on the look of the comments section. Not 100% finished, but a lot cleaner.

Money money money

Money money money
Made my first million dollars on Blogshares today. Finally starting to get the hang of it, although I've not messed with any of the advanced stuff yet (like Ideas and Artefacts). Still, all good fun. If only it was real....

In other moneyspinning news, Alison won £100 on the lottery last night

Clogging the Blogging

Clogging the Blogging
Couldn't publish that last post all day yesterday, nor access Blogger properly. Could it be because every damned American blogger user was submitting their 2 pennies worth of opinion on the American elections? Guys, we don't care, let CNN do the coverage....

Halloween 2004

Halloween 2004
Well, I didn't win the pumpkin carving contest this year either. I didn't quite get the left eye looking how I wanted on my Gollum design.
